Jeff Turnbough Baptisms in Villalba
On Sunday, September 5, 2010 the members of the Villalba FWB Church carried on a tradition started many years ago -the baptism of new believers! It is hard to describe the deep sense of joy that Susan and I have when we see Jhon and the other leaders carrying on what the Lord opened up through our ministry in 1984. Dan Cronk used to say that the success of your ministry is not what happens while you are there, but when you are gone. The Apostle John wrote, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the Truth."
Of course the church or the believers in Villalba are not perfect, but neither are we! However, that God can work in such a way that the deep passion and joy that He placed in our hearts in this place so many years ago can be carried on by others that He used us to bring to Himself gives testimony to Jesus' promise, "I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it."
Join us in rejoicing for the faithful believers in the Villalba FWB Church. Join us in praying that God will continue to kindle a passion for the most important matters, such as actively sharing their faith with others and working hard to bring others to faith in Christ.
As we all know, there are so many things that discourage believers, and that is true around the world. In spite of all those things, it is such a blessing to see a group of Christ followers faithful to the things that matter most to Him! May God continue to strengthen the community of believers in the Villalba Church!
