E-TEAM Brazil News Archive 2008 Schools, Churches, and a Zoo?

June 26th, 2008

The last few days have been very busy in Brazil. Our TEAM had 4 presentations in one day on Tuesday, beginning at 7 am and ending around 8 pm. We went to 2 elementary schools in the morning and then went to Fisk, an english school in Campinas, in the afternoon and evening. Group 1 and Group 2 both performed the mime twice, and all went very well.

On Wednesday, everyone on the TEAM was excited because we got to sleep in! We met at the church around 11, ate lunch, and headed to a city park. Some of the youth from Primera Igreja (First Church) went with us. Inside the park were two museums, an aquarium, and a zoo. We went through both of the museums and decided to go to the zoo because everyone wanted to see the animals.

After going through the zoo, we stopped at a picnic area to have some fellowship time with youth from the Primera Igreja. Then Augusto, one of the youth, showed the TEAM the oldest tree in the park. It was HUGE!

We spent around 20 minutes playing on the big tree. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Afterwards, we headed back to our homes for a couple of hours to rest. We then met back at the church to head to Nova America for service.

At Nova America, we listened to the praise band lead in worship. After that, our TEAM sang and Group 2 did the mime. Everything went well and the people really seemed to enjoy it. Once our presentation was over, Pastor Paulo invited everyone to participate in a prayer time. We split up into small groups and prayed. Although there was a language barrier, everyone could feel the prescence of God.

Thank you all for continuing to pray for us. God is really moving here in Brazil and we can't wait to come home and tell you all about it.

God Bless,
