E-TEAM France News Archive 2008 The First Few Days...

June 21st, 2008

Greetings to everyone on the longest day of the year!

The last couple of days have been filled with tons of fun, information, and food! Add a little jet lag to that and it becomes an interesting time for all involved.

We have been learning tons from Robert Bryan about how to communicate and build relationships. These lessons will definitely be helpful in any culture. Thursday and Friday night we were able to spend time with the believers in St. Nazaire. There is a music festival tonight (Saturday) and we are singing with their church choir. The songs are great. There will be a mixture of French, English, and African languages being sung. Please pray that the light of Christ will shine through our words. We will also be performing our mime in the streets of a 1000 year old city. This is the opportunity of a lifetime and the entire team is excited.

Yesterday (Friday) we visited the cemetery in St. Nazaire. There are over 22,000 people buried in one city block and after doing the math we discovered that less than 72 tombs represent the believers in the city. The lesson was powerful and we saw the need that is in France.

We are still overcoming a bit of jet lag...(I'm writing this at 4:15 AM CST and it's 11:15 AM here!) Please pray that we will open our hearts to what God is doing all around us and through us. Thank you for partnering with us in prayer!
