E-TEAM France News Archive 2008 Over the Weekend...

June 24th, 2008

Well, it's been a busy weekend. Our team participated in a Music Festival on Saturday in a Medieval city. It was an amazing time. The city was packed with people and quite a crowd gathered as we sang and performed our mime. What was most amazing was thinking about the need that was right in front of us. According to the statistics, 99.4% of the people we saw in the village do not know Jesus. Through the mime, many of those people saw the Gospel in a way they could understand for the first time. This is unreal when we stop and meditate on it.

On Sunday we attended the Free Will Baptist Church in St. Nazaire. There were many wonderful blessings in the service. The church was full. It was encouraging to be there with the French believers. Also, there was a baptism that day in the ocean. It was amazing to be part of this cultural experience.

On Monday we visited several fascinating sites. The first were several battlefields from the second World War. We stood on the beaches of Normandy and thought about the unbelievable sacrifice that so many young people made. The second main tourist attraction that we visited is called Le Mont St. Michel. This place is amazing. It's an ancient structure built on a natural rock coming out of the ocean. It was a long day, but very exciting.

We are now in Nantes preparing for a new week of ministry. There will be a children's festival on Saturday. Please pray for us.
