E-TEAM France News Archive 2009 The Music Festival

June 21st, 2009

On Sunday, our day started out with "Father's Day". The team was so sweet to remember before we left that we were going to be gone on Father's Day, so the girls bought Russell a "Father's Day" card. He cried! It was so sweet!

Then, the team had an opportunity to sing and perform our mime, "Everything", for the Nantes Church. We had to say goodbye to our first host families that we stayed with. Everyone had a wonderful opportunity to share Christ through their actions while staying in these homes.

After church, we went to KFC! This was our favorite meal yet, well, for some, anyway. Then we went to Matt and Christina's house, where each team member had an opportunity to call their dad for "Father's Day". Then we were on our way to Saint Nazaire for choir practice, again, and then downtown to the music festival.

It does not get completely dark until about 11:30p.m. here, so we weren't scheduled to sing until about 10:00p.m. We had about 30 people in the choir, including the 11 of us. It was such an incredible thought to be singing about the love of Jesus Christ, openly, in front of hundreds of people. God is so amazing. Some people didn't stay long to listen to us, some stayed the entire time, but most importantly, we planted seeds. We had a wonderful time doing this! It was a blast!

I have posted some pictures from Sunday!
