E-TEAM France News Archive 2009 Work Day and Such

June 24th, 2009

Yesterday, Wednesday, we had a work day. We went to a nearby village to pass our literature to the neighbors of the Ferguson's and the Riggs. These two families are currently working to establish another church in a smaller village called Chateaubriant. Between three different areas in Chateaubriant, we passed out about 350 pieces of literature about the church. We may not have had actual contact with people, but again, the seed was planted. Please pray for the Riggs, the Fergusons and Cathy Crawford as they begin this new work.

After the tract distribution, we went to Cathy's house for lunch. We had Turkish food, because Cathy is associated with many Turkish families within her town, and she wanted us to get a "taste" of what their culture is like. After lunch, we pulled some weeds for her, as well as laid down mulch in her flower garden. After this, we went downtown in Cathy's city to a little cafe', which is owned by a Scottish lady. We ate scones, Scottish pancakes, and had tea. They were wonderful! Believe it or not, this was another way for us to minister. This lady is not a Christian, but a contact that Cathy has had over the past couple of months. Just us visiting and supporting her business, is a tremendous opportunity for Cathy to minister to her even more.

After we left Cathy, we came back to Saint Nazaire for prayer meeting. Phill, Avery, and Becky gave their testimonies, or testi"stories", as we call them. These three did a tremendous job, sharing with the French people what God is doing in their lives. Then the French people prayed for these students, individually. It is so amazing to think of a heavenly Father being able to understand these prayers, even when we don't.

All in all, it was a good day! Enjoy the photos!
