I miss you all like crazy:) But I am having an amazing experience here with my team and missionaries. I am learning a lot about the culture and seeing the power of prayer. God has done a lot in just a few days here. I can't wait to tell you all the stories and to see your faces and hug you all. I hope you all are doing well, Please keep the rest of our days here in your prayers, and keep up with the updates.
I hope they've been helpful. I love you all so much and I can't wait to see you, but leaving here will be very hard. We will have a good-bye party the last day here. I want to tell you more but I have already written a novel...I love you, can't wait to see you:) Goodnight.
Today was a very heart touching day in many different ways.
This morning we had the chance to drive out to a church to help them pass out tracks. We were able to pass out 500 within an hour, and we even ran out! After we finished passing those out we were able to listen to a Japanese pastor's wife speak. Out of all the non-Christians we've met, it was really encouraging to hear her speak of how she and her husband are willing to do anything that God tells them to do. Nathan Snow translated for her and it was a moving moment when he started to cry, translating that she was saved because an American went as a missionary to Japan, and talked to her and became her music teacher. Please pray for her family and their ministry. Pray that they'll have many ministry oppurtunities and will be able to grow.
Most of the afternoon was actually quite depressing. We went to a cemetery that had all most all Buddhist graves. There were so many grave markers around. Mirial separated us into groups and put us into different sections. She told us that the Christian graves would have a cross on them, and we were to count how many we found in our sections. Some only found 2. Others found 3, or 8. In total, we found less then 20. It was heart breaking. Not only were there several grave markers - there wasn't just one person buried by it. There were several. You will see a picture of a whole slew of them, and in the end of the slide show you will see a Christian one. Just think...Out of all the graves in that one picture...There may have been just 2 or 3 Christian graves - if even that.
In the evening things perked up. We had a high school party and we were able to have games, testimonies shared, and songs were sang. They really seemed to enjoy it, as did we.
Tomorrow is the Carnival that we mentioned the other night, please pray that we will be able to minister to the children that come, and that the whether will be great! Thank you so much for you prayers, it means a lot to all of us!
More later...
