E-TEAM Mexico News Archive 2008 Staying Busy in Mexico
We have been in Mexico for 6 days, doing many different things. We have attended 3 different churches, ranging from Conservative to very conservative. We performed our mime at all 3. At one church they invited us to stay for dinner. We did not know that dinner would consist of rice and a dead fried fish. (Keep in mind we could not make faces at any type of food) We all tried it and it turned out to be really good. We have eaten a Mexican Cheeseburger that is very different than any cheeseburger in America. We have had a lot of Mexican meals and they are really good.
We have been working very hard with yard work, fixing up an apartment, the guys digging a septic tank, making soap, laundry, hanging clothes on the line, going to churches, vacation bible school, and handing out tracks at a hospital.
On Friday night, our group and 2 youth groups got together and socialized. They would teach us some of their games and we taught them some of ours. Duck Duck Goose being one of them. We have been together with them since then and we all really like the other teenagers.
We have more free time here than we did in Nashville. In that time we usually hang out, take naps or relax. The heat makes us all pretty tired.
So far no one has got sick besides Billy, our leader. He must have ate something, but he is better now.PLEASE pray that no one else gets sick. We have to much work to do here and no time to get sick or feel sick.
Quite a few people are homesick, they are tolerating it well though.
Here are a few messages:
From alana: I am having fun but I can not wait to get home. I love you guys!
Sarah: I miss all of you SO much. I can not wait to tell you the details of everything we have done. I love you.

Tyler, Kevin, Ashley, and Gloria all say hi.
Please keep us in your prayers. Tomorrow we are going shopping in Tampico and then to Mono Comono..That is where people built houses around a trash dump. It might be emotional depending on the houses and the situations.
