E-TEAM Spain News Archive 2009 Our last day in Spain/We're Back in the US

June 30th, 2009

We left Spain this morning EARLY!!!!! We arrived on US soil (Charlotte) this afternoon. We got to the Bible College around 6:30 I think. Our time is all out of sorts. Spain time being 6 hours difference and then Nashville's time. Anyway, Praise the Lord, we are back home and we had all of our luggage!!! We did not have a single problem with connections in Madrid, Munich, or Charlotte. Our time in the airports went smooth and flights were ALL on time.....

Everyone was in good spirits all day in spite of most of them not having alot of sleep the night before (By their choice of course)!!!! All had mixed feelings of leaving Spain and the people there but at the same time wanting to get back home.

We are all so grateful for the opportunity we had to spend time in Spain with all of the missionaries as they shared their vision for the people there. We have all been touched by what we have seen, our ears have heard, and our hearts have felt. Our prayer is that God will continue to use the McVays (Sam & June), the Johnsons (Tim & Kristy), the Donahue's (Mick & Rachel), the Turnbough's (Matthew & Brooke) and Jeff & Susan, and the Edgmon's (Anthony & Lea) to spread the Word of Christ in Spain. Also, that they will continue to build relationships with the people where they will want to know more about Christ and become believers.

Our experience in Spain has made an impact on our entire team. Several of the team members are facing decisions that they feel that God has placed in their hearts and have requested prayer in making the right choice. God certainly can get our attention if we take time to stop, listen and allow Him to use us to glorify His name!

Yesterday (Monday), was our last day in Spain. All of the missionraies, several teens from Alpedrete, and E-Team drove up to the mountains for a picnic and fellowship. Everyone enjoyed the beauty surrounding the park: mountain stream, mountains, beautiful, huge rocks to climb, shaded trees, cooler temperature, hiking trails and wild horses!! We had the best time spending time with our new friends in Christ, and enjoying God's creations all around us.

Afterwards, we drove back to the Center in Alpedrete and enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by a couple who attends church there. Then it was off to the hostel to get ready for the trip back home....

In looking back over the past few weeks, in our preparation for the trip to Spain, and in travelling, we all know without a doubt that God had his hand in everything that happened on this trip. From the time we left Nashville in stormy weather, arriving in Spain with no luggage (getting it back 3 days later), our stay there, and returning to the US, we always knew God was with us. God always provided for us, put those in our path that needed some encouragement or prayer and used us to be a vessel for Him. We went to Spain to be a blessing to the missionaries and to the people there. Instead, we were blessed!!!!

E-TEAM Spain faced some obstacles on this journey but with God's love, guidance, and lots of prayer, we were able to overcome them. For some on this team, their journey may not be in the field doing mission work for the Lord, but for others, it may just be the beginning. Only God has that answer! We ask that you keep each one in your thoughts and prayers.

"Dios de bendiga!" May God Be With You.
