- New opportunities to share the Word are constantly being presented to us! We're currently teaching four weekly Bible studies (in addition to Sunday Morning Worship services). These include three groups of adults and one for children. Most of these involve people who are not yet believers. In the children's class, we have many opportunities to share every Sunday afternoon with the children and sometimes the parents, as well. There are also several people in our neighborhood we interact with each week who understand we are here to tell about Christ and have been invited to our church. Please pray that we will be open to the Holy Spirit's leading in each of these encounters and that people will accept HIM!
- Pray that the efforts of the 2011 Tokyo E-Team will be used and blessed by God! Through the leadership of Donnie and Ruth McDonald, the team has been involved in a lot of local activities at the Good News Chapel, Iriso FWB Church and the Kamifukuoka Christ Church during their time in Japan. Pray that through the testimonies given, songs that were sung and relationships formed that God will work in the hearts of the people they met!
- Ken and I have returned to Japan after a 10-month home assignment at Hillsdale FWB College in OK. It's great to be back "home" but we ask for your prayers as we readjust to life here and work to build God's church in our area. Please pray for those who have drifted from Him, and that we will be witnesses to the young families we have involved in our English and Bible classes.
- We desire your prayers as we head back to Japan the third week of May. The Japan we are returning to is not the same one we left; earthquakes, tsunamis, nuclear reactor problems...people are hurting and looking for answers. Pray that in their hour of need many will turn to HIM for answers! Pray that God will be glorified in our lives, our testimonies and our ministries in the Tokyo area.
- Please pray for our missionary team in Japan; many are facing difficult times. Some have returned to the U.S. because of personal health issues or those of ageing parents; some are being challenged with decisions regarding their children's health needs, one couple is in the midst of a difficult pregnancy. Pray that God will be glorified in decisions we all are facing for the future of our ministries in Japan.
Pray for the current financial crisis International Missions is experiencing. Pray for our leadership to have wisdom in making critical choices for the future. Pray that many will be burdened to give to the World Missions Offering on April 24th so that all may hear the Gospel throughout the world!
