CONVERSION
Cathy was saved in 1965 at the age of 13. She passed through a difficult time in 1973, but at the end of the struggle she felt God's call to missionary service. While attending Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, Tenn., her calling was reconfirmed by the Lord.

EARLY MINISTRY
Following graduation from FWBBC in 1977, Cathy spent seven months in France as a short-term missionary, gaining firsthand knowledge of French culture. She spent two years teaching fourth grade at Randall Christian Academy in Memphis, Tenn. In 1981, she went to Michigan for Missionary Internship training where she worked with the Stoney Creek FWB Church in Ypsilanti. She was officially appointed to missionary service in April of 1982.

Cathy completed French language study in the fall of 1985 and began working with John and Pansy Murray at the First FWB Church in Nantes, France. Her activities included the writing and distribution of tracts, Bible studies and a marketplace ministry.
