Missionaries Japan Josh and Alicia Crowe I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for E-Team!

June 26th, 2010

Well, E-Team has come and gone. We went to pick up the 2010 E-Team Hokkaido from the airport on June 15th and they left early in the morning on June 24th. This year's group was amazing. They served the Japanese church well and learned about the culture and the challenges of ministry in Japan. Some of the highlights included The Amazing Race: Sapporo, Onsen, Neighborhood Carnival, and Church Visits. We are very thankful for the E-Team program and for the people who work so hard to see that it continues. The pictures in this update are from the 10th annual neighborhood carnival. There were over 300 kids and dozens of adults.

Today is a hot one! We in Sapporo will reach 80 degrees. I know for some back home that sounds pretty mild…and it is. Though it can get a little stuffy without air conditioners, we love the warm weather. We know that winter is just around the corner, so we want to enjoy all the outside time we can before hibernating for 6 months.

Our language studies continue. We are seeing real progress in our capabilities. We've learned that it is very important to focus on what we know, not on what we don't know. When we do this, we can see our skill level increasing. Please continue to pray for us as we study Japanese. Specifically that we can start to incorporate the book knowledge with real-life situations.

We want to say thank you to those that are faithfully supporting us. We are here because God is using YOU to keep us here. You are partners in our mission to Japan and your prayers and gifts connect you with our work here. Thank you!
