Missionaries Japan Josh and Alicia Crowe Summertime
Greetings from beautiful Hokkaido, Japan. Summer is at its peak here and we are enjoying the warm weather. Kids are getting ready for their summer break and most families will be heading for vacation starting next week. It's a busy time for church members as many prepare kid's outreach events and camps.
We were able to attend the National Association of Free Will Baptists in Oklahoma City this year. No, we didn't fly to America. We sat in our own living room and enjoyed all the services via Internet. The Media Commission set up a live video feed of the services and special meetings. Most of the missionaries who weren't able to attend watched the convention from the comfort of their homes. What a blessing!
One of the greatest blessings of watching the Convention was the seeing International Missions Celebration Service. As we witnessed the testimonies of international leaders, we praised God for His faithfulness in providing the harvest. Many people sacrificed so that the nations could hear God's truth. We are blessed to be among those who were told to go. Thank you for being the ones who send us!
Please pray for the international leaders that are returning from the National Convention. The International Fellowship of FWB met the week following the American National Association and these leaders represented Japan: Pastor Kojima-sensei, Pastor Kimura-sensei, his wife, Satchiko-san, and Ogura-san from Koinonia Church in Hokkaido. Please pray that their travel would be safe and that they will have fresh zeal for their ministries here in Japan.
We are reaching an important milestone in our language study. Alicia is moving from the beginner course to the intermediate course in August. This change can be stressful and requires the completion of tests and oral reviews. Please pray for her as she moves into the next stage of language learning.
As always we are eternally grateful for those who support us. We are working together to share the love of Christ here in Japan. Thank you.
