PRESENT MINISTRY
Anthony and Lea Edgmon are working in the town of Alpedrete. It has a population of over 11,000 and no evangelical church.

The Alpedrete team opened an Outreach Center in December 2005, beginning with activities for children, women, and families.

The first regular worship service was held on Sunday, February 5, 2006. Since the Center’s opening, several people have approached Anthony and Lea Edgmon and Tim and Kristi Johnson expressing their excitement over the prospect of an evangelical church in their pueblo.

CONVERSION
Anthony was saved at the age of five and baptized in 1976 in Pine Bluff, Ark. Through the influence of his mother, who is very missions-minded, Anthony developed a burden for missions. He answered the call to missions while a student at Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, Tenn.

Lea was led to the Lord by her children's church teacher. She answered the call to missionary service during her sophomore year at Bible college.

EARLY MINISTRY
Since his graduation from Bible college in 1994, Anthony has served as associate pastor at Calvary Chapel FWB Church in Hollywood, Fla. He served as a student missionary to Panama during the summer of 1994. He was also active in music at the Bible college, including four years on the Rejoice ministry team.

Lea graduated from Bible college in 1996 with a degree in Elementary Education and Missions. She has been active in children's ministries for several years and was part of the Go and Be Team that traveled to Cote d'Ivoire in 1993.

The Edgmon were appointed as career missionaries to Spain by the Board of Foreign Missions in April 1997. They arrived on the field in October of 1998. Following language study they worked in the areas of teaching and preaching in the Villalba work.
