Missionaries Spain Matthew and Brooke Turnbough Biography
PRESENT MINISTRY
Matthew and Brooke were appointed as career missionaries to Spain by the Board of International Missions in July of 2005. They have spent the last year traveling to churches and sharing their heart for the Spanish people. They plan to return to Spain July 31, 2006
They will continue working with the Villalba Church, coordinating and developing an outreach program to immigrants. They will assist in developing the music program, teaching English, and leading discipleship classes.
Their desire is that they will be used in Spain for the glory of God.
CONVERSION
Matthew was saved at the age of four in his home. While in college he made the decision to serve the Lord through mission work in Spain. Growing up in Spain as an MK, he saw the urgent need for missionaries in a country where less than 1% of the people are believers.
Brooke was six-years-old when she accepted Christ as Savior in her home. As she grew, she realized the importance of having a personal relationship with the Lord. Brooke visited Spain before marrying Matthew, realized the intense need and wanted to serve God in Spain.
EARLY MINISTRY
Matthew is a member of Donelson Fellowship FWB Church in Nashville, Tenn. Brooke is a member of Huntsville FWB Church in Huntsville, Ala. and is an associate member at Donelson Fellowship FWB Church in Nashville, Tenn.
Matthew and Brooke served a two-year term in Spain from Aug. 2003 to July 2005. Matthew assisted with the music, led discipleship classes, and coordinated the social outreach program for the Villalba Church. Brooke's main goal was to learn Spanish and complete two years of language and culture studies.
CHILDREN
Matthew and Brooke have three children, Andrés Conor, born September 8; Caroline Anne and Daniel Colin, born November 28.
