Missionaries France Steve and Becky Riggs A Place To Meet
Thank you for your prayers concerning a meeting place for the church in Châteaubriant. We are continuing to look for a permanent place to serve as a visible witness to the area. In the mean time, we have recently found an opportunity to rent facilities at a private school two Sundays a month for little cost. We are grateful the Lord has opened this door and feel it is a good solution for the group as we look for a place of our own. Yesterday we had our first meeting in the school facilities. A couple of families from our church in Nantes joined us for worship and that was a great encouragement for the group.
Since we are able to have a temporay address for the church meetings we have been able to distribute an introductory letter in Châteaubriant and some of the surrounding area. This past week we were fortunate to have six students working with Operation Mobilisation help us with the distribution. (their photo is attached) Thanks, so much to Tamsin, Sarah, Laura, Sarah, Ashley, and Amanda. Please pray that this letter will be well received in the homes where it is distributed. Pray, too, for the special Sundays we will be having up till summer to introduce the church in the community.
On a personal note, we are happy to announce a summer wedding of our oldest son, Daniel. Daniel and Gwennaëlle will be getting married on July 10. They will intially be making their home in the area of St. Nazaire where both Daniel & Gwenn presently teach school. We would certainly appreciate your prayers for them as they begin their new life together. (Wow, we are getting older aren't we?)
