Missionaries Panama Steve and Lori Torrison It's a WHAT???

October 18th, 2008

During the rainy season, all kinds of bugs like to crawl into our half-enclosed patio to dry out. We sweep them up and throw them back outside. One day, when Steve came across another one of these worms (pictured), he said, “I think this is a snake.” He had read an article on the internet about a scientist finding the world’s smallest snake in Barbados. We watched the “worm” for a few minutes, and indeed it did seem to move like a snake; we could even see two small eyes. We took a picture and sent it to the scientist, who confirmed that it is a snake, but not the smallest; it is called a Flowerpot Blindsnake. In other, unrelated news, Lori has moved all her flowerpots outside.
