FWBIM's major
thrust is planting churches around the world. Spain has
8,022 cities and towns. Of those, 7,450 have no Evangelical
church. That is why we are in Spain —to plant
Evangelical churches in towns that do not have one. More
than planting individual churches, our goal is to stimulate
a church planting movement.
It is fine with us if it gets out of control!
The FWBIM strategy for Spain calls for the establishment of
a minimum of 10 to 15 clusters of churches, with three to
five churches in each cluster. The idea of the cluster is
to have several local churches in close proximity for
fellowship, interdependence and cooperation. At the present
time, God has clearly opened doors for us to begin the
first two clusters in the greater Madrid area: one in the
greater Alcalá de Henares area and the other in the Sierra
de Guadarrama region.
This section serves as an introduction to these five works:
the First Church Alcalá de Henares,
the Esperanza Church in Alcalá de Henares,
the Villalba Church, the
Colmenar Viejo Church, and the most recent
church in Alpedrete.
